The chance to highlight the MIT School of Science using technology: nerdy? Yes. Responsive? Definitely. Exciting? Corey was all over it.

The reputations of the six departments within the MIT School of Science were all well known. Most people, however, weren't aware that they were actually under one name. To build the prominence of the MIT School of Science name, streamline online user flow, and give staff easy access to internal resources, the school approached Corey. They responded with a reorganized - and responsive - website that allows visitors to quickly identify the MIT School of Science as the gateway to the six departments and allows staff to find what they need, whenever and wherever they need it. Corey also created a new visual identity for MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research.

Outcomes


Won 2012 Interactive Media Association Outstanding Achievement (Science/Tech). The site also received a CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) District I Excellence Bronze Award in the digital category.

Corey + MIT School of Science

Corey has worked with MIT since 2002 and the partnership has meant nearly a dozen projects have been created over the decade. Corey's connections to MIT go further back as one of Creative Director, Michael McPherson's jobs early in his design career was at MIT Press. Additionally, Ryan Evans, Corey's longtime Director of Experience Design went to MIT for both undergraduate and graduate school.
