“Corey has the perfect mix of usability disciplines as well as great design talent… As the customer we know what we want to achieve, but Corey showed us the most efficient user-friendly way to accomplish our goals. The visual design team proposed clean and elegant designs that incorporated the user experience in a very intuitive way.”

Jeff Forsyth, VP of Application Development at ABILITY Network, has worked with Corey on four very different client engagments with Biogen Idec, Communispace, EMC and most recently, ABILITY Network. ABILITY Network is a leading healthcare technology company that provides a broad suite of innovative products and services that help manage the administrative complexities of healthcare.

We chatted with him about his experience in working with us both as a development partner and as a client.

1. How did you first hear about Corey?

I worked with Corey back in 2011 as a partner developing the Communispace Modus SharePoint Portal. Corey worked with Communispace to select Oxbow Software as the development partner.

2. As a technology executive and an entrepreneur, what do you find distinctive about Corey’s user experience and design?

Working with Corey is very consultative in nature. As the customer we know what we want to achieve, but Corey showed us the most efficient user-friendly way to accomplish our goals. The visual design team proposed clean and elegant designs that incorporated the user experience in a very intuitive way.

3. You worked with Corey on two very different projects – one for EMC and one for ABILITY. What about the Corey team can transition effortlessly from designing experiences for storage professionals or the healthcare community?

I have actually had the pleasure working with Corey on 4 engagements (Communispace, Biogen, EMC and ABILITY Networks). In each engagement, the partnership and transparency was the most noticeable aspect when working with Corey on any project or domain.

4.If you could identify one thing about Corey that really makes them stand out, what would it be?

The People are the best thing about Corey. I know that is a cliché, but it’s very important in a partnership. Corey is willing to listen, think and only then advise.

5. How do you define a successful collaboration between a client and a provider?

The provider must understand not only the design goal, but also grasp the domain in a very short timeframe in order to get the solution correct. Corey has the perfect mix of usability disciplines as well as great design talent.

6. Finally, please complete the following, “Wouldn’t it be great if…”

“Wouldn’t it be great if we had the energy of our children, but the wisdom of our parents?”
