Corey McPherson Nash (Corey) is a premier national brand strategy and creative services firm. For more than 33 years, Corey (www.corey.com) has been creating brands and developing strategic communications and campaigns for clients in education, health care, business and nonprofit. We are seeking a creative team member who is passionate about great design and about building stronger brands across physical and digital media - web, mobile, social media, video - and whatever's next. The Corey Designer is a perfectionist with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship, systematic thinking, and a thoughtful approach to design. Our Designers are responsible for developing and executing creative concepts for marketing and digital (mobile, video, internet) solutions in a highly creative environment. Partnering with the Creative Director, other designers, copywriters, user experience and technology, you'll help solve tough design challenges in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate should not only be able to create beautiful, usable solutions, but be able to clearly articulate his/her ideas.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with teammates to conceive, develop, and implement design solutions in digital (including online video) and print media
  • Develop and frame creative concepts according to creative brief requirements
  • Apply brand identity systems, typography, photography, color and other ingredients appropriately to create innovative visual solutions that meet business and user needs
  • Follow innovation and insights on current trends in digital technology and design
  • Visualize, design and conceptualize user experiences
  • Create visual prototypes or screens
  • Extend existing visual systems/brand guidelines across all mediums with moderate design changes or interpretation
  • Attend all company meetings and design meetings
  • Participate in client presentations, when appropriate, and clearly articulate design concepts

Requirements

  • BFA or MFA in graphic design from an accredited design program
  • Highly conceptual online design portfolio required; must include print and digital
  • 1-2 years post-college experience in a design position is a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrated fluency with core graphic design principles (typography, form, color, composition, imagery, etc.)
  • Experience in digital technology and the latest versions Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
  • Passion for producing great design
  • Self-motivated, organized and accountable
  • Ability to multi-task with careful attention to detail
